Sonia Ahmadi is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and the founder of Primus Psychotherapy. She brings over a decade of clinical experience to her work with adults navigating anxiety, relationship concerns, identity questions, and major life transitions.

Clients often describe her style as warm, grounded, and direct. She offers a collaborative space where you can speak honestly, fully understand yourself, and begin making changes that feel realistic in your everyday life.

We will explore how emotional patterns move through your history and relationships to help you develop "differentiation of self"—the ability to stay connected to others while staying true to your own.

Building Your Skills

 While insight helps us see the patterns, action helps us break them. I integrate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution Focused Therapy, and mindfulness to give you concrete skills. You will leave sessions with tools to regulate your emotions, set boundaries, and build self-trust in real-time.

The word Primus comes from Latin and means first or primary. At Primus Psychotherapy, it represents the idea of returning to your primary self — the version of you that exists beneath stress, expectations, and old patterns.
